About me

Hi one and all!

My name is Rick, I’m from the south of the Netherlands and I’ve been on mountain bikes for almost 20 years now. I started out with a €150 Giant Boulder hardtail from Marketplace and I soon found out that this is my sport: I like the thrill, the fact that you can go anywhere, and the feeling of achievement afterwards. This meant that I was in the market for my first brand new mountain bike pretty soon.

Since I like to try new things, I went through a lot of different mountain bikes through the years: different configurations, different frame materials, different wheel sizes and eventually a bike with pedal assist (eMTB). What I also like, is doing my research before I buy something new or before doing a modification. With that, I noticed that there is a lot of information online which is influenced by brands. That isn’t a bad thing by definition and it might help you, but it does mean that the information is not always sincere and authentic.

That’s why I came up with the idea of starting MTBpost.com; a place were you’ll find info about everything mountain bike related which comes completely from my own research and is never based on a trend. I hope that you enjoy reading my content and that it’ll help you with making some important decisions.

Enjoy the ride!
